Summary

We first brought you Roger Taylor’s story in November 2020. When we first aired Roger’s story, we knew he was missing under strange circumstances. Roger was disabled, and the people at Roger’s home on the day he vanished had told some peculiar tales that didn’t seem to add up for someone in Roger’s condition. Roger’s daughter said she had received a text from her father’s phone saying he was lost and stuck. Later his car was found abandoned on a dead-end road. Where could Roger have gone? How far could he have made it considering his limited mobility? These questions lingered, and rumors swirled around the small town where Roger lived. And then, in August of 2022, a man turned himself in to police and told them he had murdered Roger in 2019. When we heard this man’s name, we recognized it. He was someone that Roger’s family had told us about in interviews. He told authorities that he had turned his life around, found God, and was ready to confess to what he had done. But today, some believe there is still more to this story waiting to be exposed.

1:33.0	On March 10, 2019, 49-year-old Roger Taylor disappeared. He was at his home in Vernon, Alabama. And according to his wife, he began acting out of character.
1:46.0	For many years, Roger had been disabled after a stroke and several other serious health problems.
1:52.0	He wasn't known to leave home often or drive due to his limited mobility.
1:57.0	His wife said that he left that day in their car, headed across the state line into Monroe County, Mississippi.
2:04.0	His plan was to go to the home of one of his daughters.
2:08.0	Roger texted his daughter at 9.44 pm, stating that he was lost and stuck.
2:14.0	Roger's car was later found abandoned on a dead-end road in Monroe County, Mississippi.
2:19.0	But despite extensive searches, no trace of him has ever been found.
2:24.0	Since the day that Roger disappeared, suspicion has swirled around those who last saw him, and their stories about what he was doing in the days leading up to his disappearance.
