Welcome to the Before Breakfast Podcast. Today's tip is that when you

travel by air, aim not to check bags. If you face any travel woes, it is much easier to just roll with it, if you only have

carryons. So when air travel goes as planned, it is utterly miraculous.

I remember landing in Utah a few hours after departing from Philadelphia once

and reading a book where a family took several weeks to make that journey 150 years ago.

I can get in and out of places as far away from me as Florida or Minnesota in one day.

It is amazing. But air travel isn't always like that. I'm sure many of us have

had the experience of a first flight being delayed so we miss a connection.

Or maybe your flight to one New York City airport is

canceled but the flights to another New York City

airport are not canceled mysteriously enough.

Or consider this lovely scenario. You are traveling to a work meeting but you find out while you are in the airport that

the meeting is switching to Zoom because a client has COVID.

In situations like these, if you just have a carry-on,

you can pivot fast.
