Summary
Well, what a lovely reunion this was. 18 years after I first interviewed Carrie and David Grant when they were on Fame Academy we meet again. And what a conversation!
Not only do they guide me through the most significant risks they’ve navigated, including whether or not to have children when they were so happy just the two of them, but they also describe what it’s been like navigating parenting four neurodivergent children, three who identify as non-binary or trans and who have struggled with their mental health.
They were when I met them nearly two decades ago, warm, compassionate and generous and they are precisely the same all these later and want nothing more than to share what they’ve learned with others.
Carrie & David’s book A Very Modern Family is available now.
