Summary

Damon Thompson Ministries - God's intention is that you operate in authority as a result of your place of intimacy. It is a violation to operate in authority without intimacy and it is impossible for intimacy to not mature into authority. Authority will not have its intended impact if it is not generated out of a place of intimacy. Put your sails up and put your paddle down! Just let the wind carry you down the river of God's goodness. Do not operate out of a place of effort, energy, experience or intellect. Let the wind carry you.

0:19.7	I'm going to talk to you about the connection between authority and intimacy, and I'm going to talk to you about the connection between authority
0:23.0	and intimacy, and I'm going to talk to you about how absolutely impossible it is for intimacy
0:29.6	not to maturate into authority, and how absolutely impossible it is for authority to have its intended impact when it was not generated

0:45.5	It's an absolute violation of pre-designed intention for you and I to increase in proximity and not increase in authority.

1:02.4	And I think if the enemy can get you into some gushy, go-go-go-gag-spirituality
1:08.5	that makes you want to lay in the presence of the Lord and never have any
1:13.1	intention of bringing transformation to the culture, then you could be as eliminated as somebody
1:18.9	who is operating in a pseudo-authority that was not generated out of a place of intimacy.
1:23.6	So I believe the Lord is helping us to find the truth in the tension between these
1:28.8	ideas. And so we'll go to Colossians. I've got quite a few verses and I'm really just feel like
1:34.4	teaching tonight if that's okay. I've got this freaking me out stuff happening on the kinsman
1:41.7	Redeemer and I'm going to be writing some more on that in the days of come.
1:45.5	Probably going to slip away with the Lord for a few days and do that.
