I've contended over the years because the Lord, in grace and humor, I think, has allowed me to be involved in the academic world in teaching.

I think grace and humor because it would be hilarious to any teacher I ever had in

school that I was teaching at a college level doing anything other than maybe getting kicked out,

you know, so or expelled. But in grace and humor, the Lord's allowed me to be able to speak into

the academic world of Christianity, which I think needs to be completely rewired.

And one of the reasons God sent Matt and Patrina and a team to us is we are going to eventually

out of this house, we're going to establish a counter-Babalan intellectual environment that's

really more about receiving revival than information. I

believe we could change the world. Did I say that well? We could change the world a lot more

effectively, not by moving people into academic understanding but moving people into

prophetic demonstration. We don't need to teach more people to understand concepts they

cannot demonstrate.

There are people who can write books on healing but cannot heal anybody.

Isn't that fascinating?

There are people who understand and, you know, understand concepts that they cannot demonstrate.

Bill Johnson says it like this.

He said, it's quite likely you can go all the way through graduate school,

receive an MBA, a master's in business, and never sit under a teacher that's ever owned a business.

It's also quite likely then, and I take it this step further,

that you could go to a seminary

and sit under somebody who could teach you about the Bible and couldn't do any of it.
