The interesting thing about strategy is God would give you a lot of details about where you're going and give you very little details about how to get there.

He'll give you gigantic vision about how something is going to end

and then he'll make you trust him to walk with him

in the journey that leads to the fulfillment of the promise.

He'll come to you and he'll say incredible things like

I'm taking you to a land that's flowing with milk and honey.

And I'm not going to tell you that there'll be nothing.

Go ahead and sit right there, buddy. You move that around. I'm not going to tell you that there'll be nothing. Go ahead and sit right there, buddy.

You can move that around.

I'm not going to tell you anything about a sea that you need to cross when you get there.

I'm not going to tell you anything about plagues I'm going to send to your enemies.

I'm not going to give you a lot of details about the middle.

Because it's really between prophecy and promise that you and I inherit the grace

to walk out the process. I've been teaching for a number of years now that the journey for you and I

starts with a prophecy or a declaration of God's intention. Let me say it like that. When I say

prophecy, I'm not necessarily saying your journey with God

began with somebody saying, thus says the Lord over you. But when we speak of prophecy, we are actually

releasing the declaration of God's intention. When you heard the gospel and something came alive

on the inside of you, it was the declaration of God's intention for you

that awakened you to the reality

that your life could be different than it is right now.
