Jeff Ratcliffe previews the Carolina Panthers for 2021 fantasy football including rankings and projections for all of the key players. Jeff kicks things off with his thoughts on Sam Darnold and why he'd consider him as a third quarterback in superflex leagues. Jeff then turns his attention to Christian McCaffrey and breaks down why he's still fantasy's No. 1 running back. Next, Jeff gives thoughts on D.J. Moore's ceiling and why Terrace Marshall is very appealing for dynasty purposes.

What is up? It's the rant. My name is Jeff Racklevin. It is Monday, June 14th, and a preview

0:22.9

series rolls on. Today we're going to talk about the Carolina Panthers. A really interesting

0:27.5

team, obviously a team in transition, new coaching, regime in place last year, Matt Rule, and

0:34.2

of course Joe Brady, the offensive coordinator, the young wonder kind. And really, I mean,

0:39.6

hey, I liked what I saw last year, but there were a couple major problems. First and foremost,

0:44.0

they're most important offensive player. Only played three games in Christian McCaffrey.

0:49.0

And secondly, they were really held back at quarterback. Now, will they be held back

0:55.1

at quarterback this year? That remains to be seen. But Teddy Bridgewater obviously is out.

0:59.9

He's in Denver. We'll talk about that in a few shows here. But Sam Darnold's in. And

1:12.8

through on being one of the top picks in his respect to draft class a few years ago? I

1:19.0

would say no. I don't think anybody out there would argue that he has justified that

1:24.0

yet. He did have that brief stretch over the final several games of his rookie season

1:30.2

where he looked pretty good. But otherwise, he's been lackluster at best. Now a couple

1:35.4

qualifiers. First and foremost, he was with the Jets. So sorry, Jets fans. But we know it was

1:41.8

a mess under Adam Gase. We also know he's quite young. You know, in fact, Joe Brady did

1:49.4

remark that that was one of the appealing things of Darnold. You have, it's not like

1:54.3

you're trading for a guy in his 30s. You're trading for a guy who is still he's not even

2:00.2

25 yet. And here he has three years in the NFL. So there's a wealth of experience there.

2:08.6

Now granted, the play wasn't amazing by any means. But there's a wealth of experience

2:12.6

there that you simply wouldn't get had you say drafted a rookie, you know, in the first

2:17.7

round this year, which in theory, they could have ultimately ended up with Justin fields
