But without any further ado, let's get straight into this episode covering cardiology.

So the first case is a 56-year-old man who presents to his GP and he's worried about his risk of cardiovascular disease,

mainly because his father died of a myocardial infarction when he was 58, so two years older than he is.

And he's had some blood results back, and his cholesterol is 6.77 and the normal cholesterol is less than 5.

So question one for this case is what disease process causes cardiovascular disease? Atherosclerosis.
