Welcome, everyone to the score fantasy football podcast. I'm your host, Justin Boone.

0:18.6

Appreciate you listening in today. This is the first time that I really started to feel like myself and I think over a week now. You know I've been dealing with a cold. You've been battling with my voice being completely off during that time. So thank you for hanging in there with me. And thank you for all the questions for today's mailbag show. You guys always come through with a ton of great ones. This week was no different. so let's get right into it. At Mark Fulon. Hey, Boon, is it time to treat Adam Thielen as an every week starter? I've been sitting to him and playing Jalen Waddle. So yes, this is the first week where I have Thielen a couple spots ahead of Waddle in the rankings. And it's still close because Waddle has such a big ceiling. I mean, he can go off any week in that Miami offense.

0:55.3

But he's kind of been left out more often than not this year because you got Tyree Kill and you got the running backs. They've been doing most of the damage. And it did seem like Tua was trying to force the ball to Waddle a couple times last week, probably trying to make sure that he didn't feel left out. But that's actually when Tua got himself in trouble. So the injury to Devon A-chan, that could cause the dolphins to maybe throw a little more while he's out.

1:14.2

But the real story here is Thielen. And I don't know how long he's going to be able to keep this up because I worry about the soft tissue injuries. They could return. They could haunt him, especially at his age. But he's got at least eight targets at each of his last four games. He's got a couple hundred yard outings during that time. He's got three touchdowns over that span.

2:20.3

He's just crushing it. So Thielen deserves to be a wide receiver two this week. And Waddle, he's really fallen more to that low-end wide receiver two range right now. At JD underscore game time. After James Connor went on IR, everyone went to get Demercato off waivers. but with the Cardinals' depth chart saying that Keonté Ingram is the starter and the staff saying that he will return this week, how do you think this backfield will play out? Well, Jamie Eisenberg and I, we talked about this on yesterday's show, but we recorded before the comments came out from Jonathan Gannon about Ingram being back this week, potentially, and before the team's unofficial depth chart came out where they listed Ingram as the starter. But here's the thing. Ingram was still limited in practice on Wednesday with that neck injury that's kept him out the last couple games. And I didn't take Gannon's comments as meaning that Ingram was for sure going to play. Maybe I'm wrong about this, but the quote was, we'll get Keante back this week, so we'll see how he does this week.

2:19.0

Does that mean that Ingram was for sure going to play. Maybe I'm wrong about this, but the quote was, we'll get Keante back this week, so we'll see how he does this week. Does that mean that Ingram's going to play in this game, or does that just mean that Ingram's going to practice more? They'll see how he does, and then they'll decide whether he can play. Either way, Demericado would be the guy if Ingram remains out. We know that. I talked about that going back to Monday show. And in this situation, that just means an RB3 for fantasy.

2:37.9

He would still be a risky play because we don't know what to expect. If Ingram does play, if he's healthy, if he's active, they'll be close in my rankings, but there'll still be RB3 flex options. Demercato would profile as the past catching back and Ingram when we look a little

2:51.2

closer at him, I mean, he hasn't exactly knocked it out of the park in his previous opportunities and

2:55.6

that dates back to last year. So Demercato would likely get the slight edge in my rankings,

3:00.0

but Ingram being active, that would certainly lower the ceiling for both these guys. They'd be more

3:05.6

RB3 flex plays, which really isn't anywhere near as appealing as Connor's role was. And that's because Connor was just getting such a big chunk of the volume in that backfield. I don't see either of these guys producing like that or really getting that kind of workload. Even if it is Demarcato getting everything, they're going to have somebody else involved. It's going to be one of the veterans, Tony Jones, or maybe Damien Williams, who's on the practice squad. They could promote him. So we'll see how this plays out over the next couple of days. We'll certainly have a better idea before Sunday, knowing what happens at Friday's practice and everything. But that's kind of how I see it unfolding right now. At Brock Astley. Do you think Zach Sharbony and Tank Bigsby will be getting more snaps as the season goes on? Ken Walker and Travis Etienne have been steals this draft. Thanks for everything you do. Well, Bigsby's been heading in the wrong direction. So he was much more involved in the early weeks. He made some rookie mistakes. And then his involvement has gone down since week one. And he's only getting a couple touches per game now. His snaps have declined too. He's also not getting the goal line carries anymore. So Bigsby is just an injury away stash for fantasy. Charbonnet is a lot more interesting because he's looked much better than Bigsby so far this year. And shout out to our buddy Dave Kluge for tweeting that Charbonne's targets have gone up in the first four games. The Seahawks, they've also only played four games just in case there's any confusion. They're coming off a buy. But the rookie had zero, two, two, and three targets each week. Meanwhile, Walker's targets have dropped from five to two, back up a little bit to three, and then down to zero in week four. Now, Walker's still dominating touches. He's running more routes and all that stuff. So Charbonnet would need Walker to get injured before he could truly excel for fantasy. But there's a role for him in that offense, and he's looked good in the process. So I like Charbonnet as a deep flex or a high-end stash. I hope that answers your question. At VAY underscore FB, does it make sense to hold Anthony Richardson in an IR spot?

4:52.4

At this point, he probably won't be back until week 12 at the earliest.

4:55.9

Seems to get injured a lot and AC injuries can linger.

4:58.9

Would be scared to put him in if I make the playoffs.

5:01.4

I only have Brock Purdy as an alternative.

5:04.0

So I agree that we probably

5:05.8

won't see Richardson until week 12, and that is just brutal. You hate to see that, especially for a

5:11.4

rookie. But what he's shown so far has been top five fantasy quarterback production. And we're not

5:17.2

imagining that. That's not hyperbole. Before he left early in week five, he was averaging the third most fantasy points per game among qualified quarterbacks behind just Justin Herbert and Josh Allen. So I would definitely be holding him in an IR spot. And if he comes back in week 12, that's not the fantasy playoffs, at least not in most leagues. So you can wait a week. You can see what he looks like before you throw him back in your starting lineup. And I get the fear that he could get hurt again and he could leave early in a game. But you're basing that on such a small sample size here of the first five games. Lots of quarterbacks have that same risk. So I wouldn't be dropping Richardson if it was me. He might swing fantasy championships to be honest.

5:54.2

If he comes back in week 12, he could be a difference maker over that final month or so.

5:58.6

He is that good.

6:00.1

At Al Jeezy, if you're sitting in first place at this point in the season, do you generally
