Summary

Along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where the waters of the Mississippi Sound meet old beach towns and storm-worn shorelines, there’s a stretch of land between Pass Christian and Long Beach long known as Pitcher Point. Locals have claimed for generations that nothing built there seems to last. 1:15.9	Well, as you might expect, that sort of thing ain't exactly isolated to Florida. No, tales of pirates
1:24.5	and privateers are popular all up and down the Gulf Coast.
1:28.6	And while in some cases, like the Brothers Lafitte, they are completely true to life.
1:35.5	And others, like good old Gasparilla, they aren't.
1:41.1	Yet they seem to pop up all over the region.
1:45.3	And today's tale is about one of those pirates,
1:49.1	a piece of local lore from down and past Christian, Mississippi,
1:54.1	a place discovered all the way back in 1699
