So the start of last podcast, I had to have us all take a deep breath because we needed it.

And also my heart rate was to the moon and my Apple Watch was telling me to breathe.

But we all need it more than ever right now.

And I got to tell you guys, I thought I would be more angry, pissed off,

but I find myself more sad and disappointed than anything, Nick. Yeah, it's, I guess it kind of felt

like it was coming because after the first period, you started to see just the trend of what we've

had through most of this series. But there's a feeling that's a little

different after this. And I don't know if it's because we're just caught up in the moment

emotionally with this Caps team after what just happened and the whimper that they went out with.

But it feels like there's an end of an era with some of this team. I don't necessarily know

how much it's going to be yet, but I really expect

there to be some changes and some things to be very different next season. You know, when you go down

three and nothing in the series, you mentally prepare yourself for that series to end in a bad way.

So perhaps we were more mentally prepared for this loss as opposed to last year when it went to

double overtime in game seven

for the caps to lose and that was just a punch to the gut but uh this was a punch to the gut in a different

way this was a longer more excruciating punch through the gut that she saw coming and there was nothing

you could do about it and so now we are left to talk about what all of this means.

Absolutely. I definitely think I mentally prepared myself for some sort of failure after game three.

So maybe I've been in this trance for a hot second here. I mean, solid run. It ended way too soon.
