Back in the real world, we've got more important things to discuss,

and we're kicking off with a disturbing report about how big companies are actually killing capitalism.

Lord Tyree, the head of the Competition of Markets Authority, has warned that consumers have been ripped off for so long

they are now actually losing faith in the systems altogether.

The main culprits, he says, are banks, insurance firms, energy companies and huge online retailers

who charge whatever they think they can get away with for goods and services.

Has he got a point?

Well, I'm not sure he has, actually.

I think he's actually reflecting what an awful lot of people think who don't know what they're talking about.

And in fact, it might be truer to say that more and more people have lost faith in democracy and in the House of Lords and in the House of Commons in this country.
