Hello everyone and welcome to Ed Barron's. I'm Andy Surwer. And welcome to our guest, Mike Gittland, CEO of the Capital Group. Mike, nice to see you.

Thanks for letting me be here with you. Appreciate it. Of course. So why don't you tell us a little bit about the Capital Group. It's obviously a big mutual fund complex company based in L.A., been around for a long time,

but give us a lowdown. Sure. Well, mutual fund and a lot more now. So the way in which we think

of ourselves as a global asset management company, been around since 1931, so our long-term

strategic plan is our 2031 plan, having to be our centennial.

We have 9,500 associates.

We're in 32 cities around the world.

We manage just about $3 trillion of client assets, predominantly active.

And the long-term approach at capital is something folks know us best for in terms of

just how we manage money, how we think about managing client assets. But I'm sure we'll get into that.

But it is, it was always, it came out of the Great Depression. And the founder wanted to think

much longer term than short-term market turmoil.
