I know I often kick off the show by calling you deadbeats.

And in a way, that feels more appropriate than ever this week, because today's show is about marijuana,

which stereotypically deadbeats smoke a lot of, but also not anymore and not so.

Because as you're about to hear, there are fewer and fewer deadbeats involved in the marijuana business.

As more and more states legalize, the cannabis is going mainstream.

Cannabis, by the way, is not me making a pun.

That is really what people call it.

And so as often happens when capitalism and government get involved in anything,

the results so far are, you guessed it, pretty racist and classist.
