We have Lee Spivey here on the show, who is a marketing manager for Good Earth Organics

but also runs a cannabis cultivation farm and has for quite some time now.

So I know this is a little bit of a different topic here on the podcast but it is something

that is becoming more and more popular and as a gardener I am really interested in growing

pretty much anything that I can get my hands on.

And so Lee, we talked yesterday about just some basics, the soil, the characteristics

of the plant and some varieties and how to even access seeds.

But I guess I am curious now, first of all, let's start with the germination process.

Is there anything different about how you would germinate and just that starting couple

weeks or one month of the plant's life?

You know Kevin, that's interesting because you know a lot of vegetable flower seeds they

just want you to put them right in the soil and wait till they pop, right?

And you can certainly do that with cannabis, it's definitely a method that is used still

to this day.

My preferred method of course is to start the seeds a little bit more rapidly.

I like to place my cannabis seeds in a plastic bag with some kelp, kelp liquid to be specific

for that, all those special kelp products like the b-vitamins and the gibberilins and

the kightens and stuff can start working into those seeds.

And I put them under a light so that they sprout pretty quickly.

Most of my seeds sprout in about 24 hours and then I can put them in soil and get them

growing.
