My name is Mike Munter and as ever I am your host.

If you tune in for the first time, then welcome, usually on this podcast we explore and

dissect the history and the evolution of the horror genre by looking at a particular

sub-jummer as one series at a time.

There are six complete seasons of this podcast exploring slashes, ghost stories, folk horror,

zombie movies, occult movies, and psychological and body horror and we are currently in the

middle of our seventh series exploring the evolution of alien, sci-fi and cosmic horror

and a new episode of that is released every Friday.

However, this is a little bonus episode because we couldn't resist the chance to cover the

longer-weighted release of near-de-costers Candy Man.

So this is a movie that it feels like we've all been waiting for for such a long time.

The release of it was delayed from last year due to Covid, but it's finally out in cinemas

written and directed by near-de-coster, produced by Jordan Peel.

I've finally seen the movie and I've got so much to discuss.

So as ever with new releases we're going to split this week's episode into two halves.

In the first half of this episode you're going to hear a spoiler-free chat between me and

my guest.

We're going to reveal very little about the plot.

We're just going to discuss our thoughts and our reactions to the movie.

Then we will give you ample spoiler warning before we discuss the movie in spoiler-rific

detail.
