0:25.4	sci-fi and action made on big Hollywood budgets could be a huge success.
0:33.5	Subsequently, 20th Century Foxx had picked up a script called Predator about a technologically
0:42.6	advanced alien stalking and hunting a group of mercenaries in a central American rainforest.
0:51.3	Predator was essentially a slasher horror movie about a bunch of characters being picked off
0:58.8	one by one by a monster until only one final girl remains. However, director John McTeehan
1:07.5	and cleverly blended the slasher with action and war movie tropes. Instead of a group of
1:13.7	disposable teens, here we got a group of hulking bulked up commandos dripping with masculine
1:20.3	energy. And instead of a final girl, we got, at the time, the most bankable movie star in the
