Before we start today's episode, I want to tell you about an app and website

that I think this audience in particular will enjoy.

It's called Ground News, and it's a news comparison platform,

an aggregator specifically designed to show the bias of the source.

Ground news takes the day's top headlines and then shows you how the different outlets are covering it,

so that you can see how progressives, conservatives, and others are reporting hot button issues.

So if, for example, Godzilla attacks New York, you can see outlets on the left describe it as

Lizard attacks Manhattan because of racism.

And then scroll over and seen that meanwhile,

frothy right-wing outlets are describing it as,

Godzilla proves there are only two genders.

The thing I like best about it, though, is their blind spot feature. Ground news looks to see if there are

stories right or left-leaning media just aren't covering and brings those blind

spots to your attention. So it's a good way to not only check media's bias but to

check your own bias by seeing what stories you may not otherwise be getting to not

media's bias but to check your own bias by seeing what stories you may not otherwise

be getting in your media diet.

And we all know a well-balanced media diet is the key to avoiding gout.
