Join by Comrade Black, distinguished biographer writing at the National Post about his

trip to Banff Western Connecticut Canada to speak to the Western Association of Broadcasters about a story that Conrad has helped me understand over these last year over this last year and more to do with the concern people have about graves or graves that might exist in

Kamloop's Indian residential school environment once upon a time.

Conrad, a very good evening to you.

We've talked about this enough so that I'll go through quickly what I remember to be accurate.

There is no proof whatsoever that there is that the

graves exist and there has not been any investigation of the grave site since

an archaeologist in good intentions used ground penetrating radar to find

indication of disturbance of soil that sometimes can be associated with graves and sometimes not.

That's all we have.

And since then, the story has grown that these are Native American children who were buried after being badly treated, abused or

abandoned or in some fashion a tragedy occurred at schools that were set up with the full cooperation of the Canadian government

more than a hundred years ago. That's what I remember. Can you fill in the details

please? Well you've got the elements of it there and in addition they were alleged to be

graves designed to hide the children there was no markers on graves supposedly so

you we we got this story two years ago and the Association of Native Peoples urged the Prime Minister who said it was a shameful day in

Canadian history and so forth to lower the Canadian flags everywhere in the

world every embassy and everywhere you say.

And so, and so the Prime Minister did that and left it on that condition for six months.

So, you know, people, you know, going down the mall in Washington would see the Canadian flag
