Canada, the People's Republic of China, something has gone off the rails.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Ottawa will not be intimidated by China after

Beijing expelled its Canadian diplomat from the consulate in Shanghai in these last hours.

The two nations have seen relations further deteriorate in a recent diplomatic tit for

Tatspahd after Canada first asked a Chinese diplomat Zhao from her post after he was found

to have been involved from his post after he was found to have been involved in an intimidation

ploy that targeted Canadian lawmaker Michael Chong and his family in Hong Kong.

To help me sort this out because we're going in different directions here with expulsions

and threats and intimidation, I welcome Conrad Black, writing at the National Post, who

anticipated all this for me, writing about a completely different matter of Chinese intervention.

The allegation from the Canadian intelligence services that Chinese agents interfered

in some fashion in both the 2019 election, General Election and the 2021 General Election.
