Conrad Black, writing at the National Post, Distinguished Biographer, an observer of the Canadian government for me.

This is familiar and then again not. It's a parliamentarian system with the Prime Minister.

It has an election pending this year.

Has a Conservative Party, has something in between that supports the Liberal Party of the Prime Minister.

Therefore, it's a minority government.

No one has a single majority in the Parliament.

And yet, Mr. Trudeau has been Prime Minister for nine years. I learned from Conrad to sum it up.

Mr. Trudeau is weary.

He's a young man. He's very attractive.

People like him. He's accommodating. He's companionable.

And yet, it appears from the American side of the border that he's out of ideas.

Conrad, a very good evening to you.

You like Justin Trudeau, but it's time to move on.

Why?

I think he's, he is, as most of me, look, in my experience, most politicians are quite likeable, otherwise certain the wrong occupation, but, but he is unusually so.

But I think he's frankly not been a successful prime

minister i mean we haven't been competitive but attracting investment retaining uh the you know

money generated within canada we've had a negative capital flows throughout his time and office

and and we're slipping

on the ladder of the most prosperous countries per capita. When I was a young person, we were

neck and neck with Australia just behind the United States. And now, all sorts of countries
