Well, it used to be the Conservative Party, then it merged with the Progressive Party, which

was a kind of a rural populist party at the end of World War II,

and it continued as the Progressive Conservative Party until it suffered a fragmentation

right at the end of Mulrooney's time and then it the the it joined with the reform party and and just has

federally calls itself now the conservative party but the progressive conservative party

exists in certain provinces so it's a bit confusing but it's all it's really the same party

when the facts replace the legend replaced the legend,
