However, he is welcome to help us understand the new face-off in the Canadian election at the end of April.

We have long known that Pierre Pellevre is the leader of the Conservative Party in Parliament,

and he will lead the ticket for the Conservatives.

However, for the Liberals, there was question, Justin Trudeau stepping aside.

The question was who would be the premier to go in the new election.

Now we have a name.

His name is Carney, and he is a central banker, not a politician, though I'm told he's standing for a seat in greater Ottawa to join the parliament if he's successful. We welcome Charles

Burton to help us understand these two visions of the future of Canada. Charles, a very good day to

you. Pierre Pellev is a very well-schooled politician, 45 years old, from the west of Canada.

He speaks excellent French, but he's clearly a cowboy.

Now, that is a clear image.

Mr. Carney is not so clear.

I read that he was a central banker, not only in Canada, Bank of Canada, but also in England, has never been a politician

and attends Davos each year. What is important to understand about his vision of Canada's future?

Good day, Charles. Good day. Well, I mean, as you say, Mr. Carney has never been elected to

anything, not even a school board posting.

His record as head of the Bank of England is distinctly mixed.

And there have been some British politicians expressing dismay that this man could become the leader of a G7 nation.

Well, he is the leader of a G7 nation, but may actually get a democratic affirmation of it.

He was way behind in the polls before he became prime minister.
