be more thrilled to have someone on the show who I've been trying to get on the show for a long time who has a new book out.

Dan Fyfer is the number one New York Times best-selling author of yes we still can and has a new

book out called Untrumping America I have so many questions I breached through the

book in about four hours I hate when people say that to me because it means I know you spent

like a year on your book and someone just read it very quickly. But

congratulations, a great book. Thank you. I want to start with something that

stood out to me pretty kind of halfway through the book.

You used to work for people that don't know, he used to work in the Obama White House and you kind of go into some of the details of the things that happened

when you were there.

And there was one thing that stood out to me about how when you look at the Democratic

Party today, how it's kind of continues to lose in some regards and there's lots of different things that are happening with the Republican Party and the shifts it's taking and so on how there was this kind of dichotomy

where you had Obama that was winning and then you had the Democratic Party that

was losing at the same time and I was wondering if you can kind of just set the stage

for us about how we got to where we are today with the Democratic Party

Kind of appearing to be a little bit of a mess

Sure how did I know it's a big large question to begin, but it was the thing that stood out to me.

Yeah, I think the most important moment to understand how we got to where we are right now.

It's not the 2016 election, it's the 2010 election.
