Today is a bit of an experiment. We had a cold front pushed through last night.

Temperatures 10 degrees below normal, there's a bit of a breeze, so we actually have a wind chill right now in the 40s.

A couple of months ago in the heat of summer, we were walking through our neighborhood

and one of our neighbors who is from Pennsylvania. And he said, you know how you have really

become a South Carolina resident? I said, how? He said, when you wear shorts year-round. So today,

even though there's a wind chill in the 40s, I am rocking the shorts.

Now, to paint the full picture, I'm wearing shorts, yes. I've also got a thick hoodie on,

and I'm wearing a ski cap. I have learned that if my ears are cold, the rest of me is miserable.

But if my ears are warm, then I can handle some pretty chilly temperatures.

And I've been out maybe 10, 15 minutes already, and the shorts don't seem to be a problem.
