But this is kind of meant to turn the page on the 2025 defense.

We're going to look at where they ended statistically.

We're going to talk about what they've lost, what they're bringing back, some things that they've gained.

We're going to talk expectations. We're going to talk expectations.

We're going to talk about keys to having a successful defense.

So, Brian, this is an extremely loaded segment.

We're getting ready to dive into the Notre Dame 2026 defense.

And based on how you and I have had conversations backlined, what I've seen from the chat,

especially at the start of today's show,

a lot of expectations with this group going into this season.

No, there is.

I mean, look, Trev, when we talk about this Notre Dame football team, we talk about this Notre Dame defense.

I mean, it really is about will they be what we hope that they can be and and and and be it consistently i mean it's it's

one of those interesting things where when i look at this notre name football team and i and i look

at what they can be and what they should be you know it's hard it's hard not to get excited treb about what they can be and and know, it's hard, it's hard not to get excited, Treb, about what they can be.

And you look at the talent and we're going to dive into numbers and we're going to do all these

different things. But then at the end of the day, it's kind of like, but will they play that way on a

consistent basis? You know, will they play that way for, you know, in the big games? I mean, there's things that we're going to talk about this year where you're like, you know, dude, like, I'm not sure why you're bringing this up as a question mark because look where they ranked. I'm like, yeah, like, where they, where they ranked like that, that's pretty good. You good. You know, I mean, that's, that's good stuff. I'm, I'm happy they rank there, but like, but they didn't do that in the two biggest games they played. Or you could even make a case that they didn't do that in necessarily like the three biggest games they played. So there'll be things like that that we're going to talk about. we're going to point to that that say, yeah, I'm happy that they, they showed this potential, but we have to have
