Number one, the world keeps intervening. Number two, it's voterrama time in the Senate. And number

three, playing out how Johnson could solve the proxy voting issue. All right, Jake, it has been a whirlwind

of a week here in Washington and around the world.

We are leading this morning with the top focused on how Republicans want nothing more than

talk about tax cuts, but the world just keeps on intervening.

I mean, if you just, there's just so many things you can kind of tick off from the global

trade war, had Johnson in the, in the midst of a rebellion around proxy voting, Trump's

national security officials using encrypted messages, government-wide cuts, I mean, on and on and on.

And all of these things, Republicans on the Hill are being forced to respond to repeatedly by reporters.

And that makes for a frustrating week on Capitol Hill.

For sure.

I can't tell you how many conversations I've had.

And this is just, there's such a palpable sense of this in the Capitol that they, that,

you know, everything that comes up on a day-to-day basis with John Thune and Mike Johnson, and

mostly Mike Johnson, to be honest with you, is just a nuisance, taking them away from the overall goal of passing the president's

agenda, whether it's this proxy voting battle, as you said, or all these things in the Trump

administration. I mean, Anna, yesterday, the Dow was down 4%. And anything anybody was talking about
