Hey folks, today you'll be listening to a special bonus episode of Head in the Office where we sat down with Kyle Blumquist, a candidate for Congress in Michigan's first congressional district, a district that's pretty far north and is pretty red.

So we had a number of questions for him about running as a sort of left populist progressive in the Democratic primary in a district that has been, at least for like the last decade and a half,

controlled by Republicans.

We also had some questions for him about his support for Medicare for all and how that goes,

pushing it in a rural district, what he wants to do with housing and all the critiques he

has of our housing policies, given that he's an architect and he has some insight into that.

And also where he thinks the Democrats broadly should go from here, as well as his personal critiques to the Democratic Party and how it's failed rural districts like his.
