I'm your host, retired NYPD Sergeant Bill Cannon, a 27-year veteran of the NYPD.

We're thinking now, as this trial gets closer and closer, what will the defense be looking at in regards to creating doubt in the Kohlberger case?

And we have lots of things that we've thought of.

From number one to number 20, there's lots of ways the defense and Anne Taylor and her defense

team can come at this. What is the most important thing? Well, we know the most important piece

of evidence in this case is that single source DNA on the button of the knife sheath.

And we're going to address that.

But there's lots of other things.

And we happen to think that the prosecution has a very good case against Brian Koeberger.

However, as lawmen, as former law enforcement officers, we also know how this game is played.

And it's not a game for people lost their lives.

But we know how this has played, the procedures.

And the prosecution wants to prove this case beyond a reasonable doubt.

And the job of the defense, of course, is to create doubt.

They want to poke holes in the evidence, and they want to create doubt.

So one juror even will have doubt, and maybe that juror will convince others on the other jurors of the 12 about his doubt

or her doubt and it'll spread and there will be doubt because that's the defense's aim

to create doubt in this case. So folks, hold on to your hats, hold on to your loved ones,

hold on to your cup of coffee. Hold on to your service dog.
