So today we're talking about English translations of the Bible, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

And the nice little good, but there.

And the issue is, can I trust them?

Can I trust my English translations or which ones can I or should I?

And what are some of the differences that are there?

Are there translations that are intended to undermine my faith?

We already spoke a lot in the past several weeks about manuscripts and the transmission of the text,

but most of us are not reading Greek in Hebrew, myself included, as my primary language.

I would consider Greek to be like a ninth level removed language to me.

But no, we're reading English, most of us. And so what's a good

translation for you is kind of the end result of your question. It's like, you know, I want to have a

Bible I grab and I read and what is what is that

so hopefully today's gonna help but before I get into specific

translations as I will I'm going to overview several specific translations that are

available in the market today that we could read.

So you could just understand the differences between them,

those types of things.

But before I do that, let me just explain why new translations are even printed in the first place.

There's several reasons.

Probably one of the first reasons why a new translation is started out nowadays is because
