Summary

Joshua Ryan Simpson is an alleged predator that was caught in a Blount County, Alabama investigation. He is known for being one of only three men to get completely naked during a Chris Hansen sting. At the time, he stated that he was a maintenance worker at a chicken plant, fixing the chicken incubation machines, and had been employed there for four weeks. He also had a twelve-year-old daughter, only three years younger than the decoy he came to meet. Simpson had been messaging a decoy run by the Blount County Sheriff's Office who he believed to be a fifteen-year-old girl. When Simpson arrived to the sting house after over an hour drive, he was greeted by the decoy and he gave her the money that he had promised. The decoy also told him that he would have to "make good on [his] deal first." The deal that Simpson had agreed to in the chat was for him to get completely naked as soon as he arrived to the house. Simpson began undressing and asked the decoy if she would also "take something off," but she refused. Simpson then spent about 35 seconds in complete silence slowly taking off his clothes in the kitchen. A thud could be heard, possibly police or the camera crew causing it, which raised Simpson's suspicions, but the decoy attributed it to a smoke detector.
