Can I be friends with my directs, part one. Here we go. Okay, finally we're going to talk about the answer to this question. We must have gotten this a

zillion times. Everybody wants to know, can I be friends with my directs?

Yeah, it's a great question. There's been lots of changes in workplace culture.

The line between work and home has gotten more and more blurred.

Things are less clear to people.

And oh, by the way, for those you are wondering,

there's also, we're also going to cover the companion follow-up

question, which is, can I drink with my direct who is also my friend.

Well that's what people really want to know and let's be honest.

Okay.

And by the way the answers to the two questions are no and sort of yes but really not sort of depending

That's really clear I know it's helpful. I'm on top of things this morning, but you know I'm sure some people have carefully

listen enough to know that you can drink alcohol with your directs or it's

potentially okay and and the fact is it can be until it's not okay and that depends on the manager we're talking to.

Again, again, terribly clear.

Okay, so can we clear this up a bit you think maybe?

They think of you as a boss.
