How to make hydroponic setups look a little prettier. So I got an email from

Juliana who said that I've had two main issues with most of the

products and tutorials available for hydroponic gardening. Number one the

setups are usually pretty unsightly. I live in a studio apartment so my living

room is my growing room as well as my bedroom

dining room kitchen etc. So I can't keep three or four giant rubber made containers

with airstones buzzing and LEDs glowing on my table when friends or elderly

relatives come over I would like to see DWC Deep Water Culture or Kratkey

done in clay pots or dark tinted glass containers or even just wooden covers to hide the plastic

containers the way that way they could stay in the window or on the table when I

entertain and so she says here I've always gotten the impression that this is part of the reason that

hydroponic gardening skews male while outdoor gardening skews female.

Because of the stereotypes as women as domestic or in charge of the home, women get judged on the basis of their indoor aesthetics to a far greater

extent than men do.

She then says, men don't seem to mind giant reflective tents of tomatoes in their living

rooms, but most women I know probably would because of this

stigma that an untidy house is evidence of a personal shortcoming.

Now this is actually a really funny question because she is completely right.
