Welcome back to the Dirt Show, I'm dressed up a little today because I have to be at a

court hearing a little before six o'clock, so the show is going to be five minutes short

today.

I'll talk fast.

We're going to talk today about recent developments, including the last few hours relating

to the race for president to the United States in the year 2024, Governor Ron DeSantis

has put in his papers to run for president and he will be having a Twitter event with Elon

Musk to announce and whatever else.

He wants to say about running for president.

Now I'm not a political pundit and so normally I don't talk about politics as such, normally

I at least talk about some aspects of the law, even the law on politics, often merged,

but today I kind of feel a special competence to talk about the Republican field and of

course, President Joe Biden, because I know them all.

I have personal familiarity with virtually each of them and I'll go over them so you

know what my basis is.

As you know, Ron DeSantis went to Harvard and Yale and has all the Ivy League credentials.

When he was elected Governor and mutual friend of ours invited my wife and me to have dinner

with him and his wife and their home in Miami Beach and we did.

We spent a wonderful evening.

He had just been elected and he was talking to us knowing that we're a liberal Democrats

about what he planned to do for education and for the environment.

He seemed at that time to us to be like a kind of moderate, centrist, a Republican, obviously
