0:40.8	it'll be the first time they've ever been away from home and it'll be the first time they've ever
0:44.3	been away from their local church if they're attending a secular college or university
0:48.5	it also may be the first time that they're exposed to a lot of ideas that are in direct contradiction to everything
0:55.4	they've been taught growing up. Now, some might argue that they should go to a Bible college
0:59.7	or that they should go to a Christian college. But you know that in certain academic disciplines,
1:04.2	Christian college is not an option. You have been there. You attended Rice University. You attended
1:10.2	the University of Texas School of Law.
1:12.4	So you've been in a secular college classroom. What advice do you have for apostolic college students
1:18.9	who are about to embark on their academic journey or are continuing their academic journey?
1:24.1	And they're on a secular college campus. Well, first, that's a great question
1:29.4	and it certainly can be a real problem. As you stated, I went seven years to college and law school.
1:36.4	I also taught part-time at University of Houston and Austin Community College. And even though
1:42.7	that was a long time ago, it was still very secular,
1:46.6	very liberal. It was the sexual revolution was in full swing. Give an example, I come as a 17-year-old
1:55.6	M.K. from Korea back to the U.S. and I go to Rice University. I'm on campus for a week of orientation.
