Summary
We cover a lot of ground on today's show as Dave Biddle welcomes in Jonah Booker for his usual Friday visit. Among the topics:
* Ohio State has a lot of players dealing with injuries, but it seems as though most of them should play against visiting Wisconsin on Saturday.
* What is up with the play of OSU cornerback Denzel Burke? Just a slow start and he will be fine, or something to be concerned about?
* Thoughts on the Wisconsin matchup, including final score predictions.
* Does JBook think the Buckeyes will land 5-star DE Keon Keeley?
* Will Michigan be tested at home against Maryland tomorrow?
* We also take questions from our live audience.
All of that and more is coming your way on the Friday 5ish.

| 0:53.5 | Good morning, Bucknotters. Welcome to the Bucknotts Morning 5 here on Friday, September 24th, 2022. I am Dave Biddle. I'm very happy to join by Jonah Booker for his usual Friday visit. |
| 1:13.5 | A lot to get into. First of all, my friend, I woke up to 42 degree weather here in Columbus, Ohio this morning. Hence the hoodie. What's the weather there like in the Valley of the Sun? |
| 1:24.5 | We got a couple we got a little bit of rain the other day. So that could have down some got some clouds. So today is supposed to be in about 90, but right now this is is decent in the morning that you can get out and walk and take the dogs out in the morning and not feel like you've been dumped with a bucket of water or something. |
| 1:42.5 | So it's about 75 right now this morning, but it's going to still be pretty warm. At this point, Dave, I'm typically in a mode like, all right, we're a couple weeks into football season. Can we be done with 100 degree weather already? |
| 1:57.5 | Yeah, it's going to maybe get up to like 60 here today. So it's crazy. It was 90 degrees a few days ago and then literally fall hit and the weather cooperated it like shot down 30 degrees or more. |
| 2:07.5 | All right, let's get as so much stuff to get into. Obviously, Buck guys against Wisconsin tomorrow night. We're going to break that down. First thing I wanted to ask you. So so many guys are dealing with ailments, you know, you can call minor injuries, who knows nagging injuries. |
| 2:19.5 | The good news, I think we'll find out tomorrow, but I think Jordan Hancock is probably the only one that's not going to play. He hasn't played yet this year. |
| 2:26.5 | But a lot of guys are nursing injuries. We know Travion Henderson, Michael Hall Jr. We know JSN got back last week, but was limited. Julian Fleming played last week, but was limited, but caught two touchdowns. |
| 2:37.5 | So a lot of guys dealing with stuff. Where are you at? Are you concerned about that? Is that just typical football stuff free games into a season? |
| 2:44.5 | Somewhat concerned because you know that the Jordan Hancock injury is lingering a whole lot longer than what we really anticipated. I know that you have spoke with Hancock in the summer. He thought he was going to be okay. |
| 2:58.5 | But right now it seems like it was a much bigger injury than what they were kind of leading on to initially. So just getting him back is going to be critical, especially when we get as we get into the big 10 run. |
| 3:10.5 | And then just kind of Travion Henderson, he was back, but he's had a series of nicknacks that's caused him to leave games. So just keeping young healthy is a major priority. But you know as far as the defense aligned to offense the line, you have to feel really good about the health at that position. So I think the wide receivers was with JSN and Julian being hurt and really gave the opportunity for some of those younger wide receivers to get some live reps. |
| 3:37.5 | So I think that's going to play off big in the long run. So I just think that right now there is healthy as they can be. You're obviously going to deal with a lot of injuries as the season progress. |
| 3:49.5 | And the one thing that you you have to take into consideration, if Ryan Day was really concerned about the injuries, he wouldn't have been pushing for such a physical practice this week to get ready for Wisconsin. |
| 4:01.5 | If there was a major injury issue, he'd have been scaling it back just trying to get healthy bodies into that game. But that was totally the opposite. They wanted to have a much physical practice and get ready for what they're going to experience Saturday against Wisconsin. |
| 4:17.5 | All right, Denzel Burke. Let's get into him. Are you concerned about Denzel Burke or is this just like he missed a lot of camp? He's had a slump as Jim Nose says it's only three games. He's on an island. We saw it. We saw it last year, but he doesn't look like the same player. Are you concerned at all about Denzel Burke? |
