Hey, deserved listeners. We have a special guest today, Brittany, who is a cam model.

0:05.2

If you watch my 90 day fiance videos or you watch 90 day fiance, there was a storyline in which

0:10.2

there was a fellow named Mike who was trying to ridicule his partner because she was breaking up

0:16.0

with him by outing her on the TV show as being a cam model. And, you know, he was like, do you,

0:24.9

you know, you better marry me? Are you better be with me? You better accept my money because

0:28.8

otherwise you're going to have to go back and do that one thing. I can't remember exactly how

0:31.9

he's wording it, but it was pretty ugly display and she was like, so what? And I remember thinking

0:37.9

good for her that there's nothing to be ashamed of. There's nothing there's no shame in doing

0:42.0

sex work and there's no shame in doing sex work online. There's no shame in being a cam model.

0:57.4

and that she was appreciative of my take. So we were going back and forth and I thought, I don't

1:02.4

know that much about it. So I thought to have Brittany on the podcast to talk about her experiences

1:08.0

because I'm guessing a lot of listeners out there will be interested. Welcome to the podcast,

1:12.0

Brittany. Oh, thank you so much. I can hear the rooster outside. Oh, yeah. So, yeah, hopefully it

1:19.5

won't get interrupted too much. I have like so many roosters. So it's yeah. No, it's good. It's good.

1:25.6

So the first thing I want to talk about Brittany is a listener to the podcast, Jessica

1:31.0

Summers actually wrote a dissertation about online sex work and she interviewed five online

1:40.3

sex workers about their experiences and was also having questions regarding feminism.

1:48.4

And so I'm just going to read some parts of her dissertation, which I think was really

1:53.4

interesting. She says, feminist theory has long grappled on the paradox of empowerment versus

1:59.2

exploitation in the adult entertainment industry. So Brittany, what do you think about that?
