Greetings friends hope you are splendid Michael Philip here and good news or I guess bad news

depending on if you care for the phrasing

or not but we are all artists and we're all artists because the very path you choose to take

in life is in itself filled with creative choices because no matter if you are on the well-worn

that totally on rails approach or the absolute creative swashbuckling personal pirate ship

you're doing it you're absolutely making creative choices in the same way that a painter would

choose the next stroke we don't think about it that way but that's absolutely what we're doing

even if we forget that that's what we've been doing all along and I think that's an exciting

thing to remind yourself of especially if your life feels out of control if it feels very far away

from that painting analogy because you may have forgotten you can choose the next stroke at any given

moment in any given permutation of what that could mean for you and then if you want to go a step

further and I guess this is kind of doubling down on the good news bad news vernacular I think

creating in general is probably the most spiritually significant thing a person can do because what's

more meaningful than organizing chaos than taking pure potential and imbuing it with meaning

and pushing it out into the world through the portal of your own mind I mean that's what creativity

is and yes I am far from the first person to equate art and creativity with spirituality here

totally admit that but sticking to the point if creativity or art if you like

is spiritually significant then that also implies that the path you walk in life is too since as

I just rambled the path you choose to walk in life is also an act of creation and this is true

of everybody I believe I believe that even if people don't seem particularly creative on the surface

underneath that veneer there is a unique beauty there is the human equivalent of a wood grain
