has called for an investigation into Monday's

airstrike by Israel that killed more than 20 people

in northern Lebanon.

The UN's Human Rights Office has called

known to have killed 24 people, most of whom

were reported to be women and children.

A spokesperson stressed that the strike on the Christian

majority village of AITU raises real concern regarding international humanitarian

law. Israel says it will continue to attack the Iranian-backed Hezbollah movement.
