I read somewhere where some people think that the league is going to possibly interpret this as the Nats being sellers.

That by unloading Mead, you know, who they had just picked up,

and they're getting a good value for,

that the perception around the league could be that the Nats are sellers.

I think you could perceive that if they dealt Mead and you felt like they got taken advantage of or didn't improve themselves in the deal? Or if you got prospects. That doesn't seem to be the case. If you got two prospects for him that are currently in the minors, I would have said that. Yeah. But they didn't. They got a starting pitcher who, when healthy, will be a starting pitcher here right, right away. Yeah, he'll be part of the rotation. He's 24 years old.

He comes in with an elbow injury, which makes you read your eyebrow a little bit. But you know, but you know they talk to the doctors. They did the homework on that. Toboni knows him from being in Boston. Exactly. So he knows all the Boston guys. I'm sure he talked to the doctor. and I like to what Curtis Mead brought to the team, but if you can get a young starter in return for a guy that wasn't even on the roster, you know, like last season, like picked up right at the beginning of this season, it seems like a worthwhile deal. I mean, they've got plenty of bats. Yeah. They need help on the mound. I know, but what if they... It's not just early.

So let's just assume, because I'm going to assume he go. And it's disappointing, but if the talks fizzled quickly, I don't see. How often do talks fizzle quickly turn into a deal three days later? If I were to bowling and the Nats, I'm squeezing one more start out of him. He started on Saturday? Yeah. I'm going to get one more start out of him before he gets dealt. But then they deal him, and then assume they get a decent hall.
