Ezekiel chapter 42, verses 13 and 14.

Then he said to me,

The north chambers and the south chambers opposite the yard are the holy chambers,

where the priests who approach the Lord shall eat the most holy offerings. There they shall

put the most holy offerings, the grain offering, the sin offering, and the guilt offering, for the place

is holy. When the priests enter the holy place, they shall not go out of it into the outer court

without laying there the garments in which they minister, for these are holy. They shall not go out of it into the outer court without laying there the garments in which they

people. There's a lot we can talk about here with these chapters in Ezekiel and these visions of the temple.

But the big takeaway, I want to point out here

in these two verses is that everything in God's presence is holy. The repetition over and over again

of that word, these holy chambers where the priests eat the most holy offerings.

For the place is holy. When the priests enter the holy place, the garments in which they

minister are holy, this word that means set apart and sacred, consecrated to God as pure.

And as we read about everything being holy, pure in God's presence,

we are reminded that this is what you and I are called to be. Be holy as I am holy, God says to

his people, from Leviticus to First Peter and in so many other places and so many other

pictures throughout Scripture. God tells us in His Word that He is

holy and he calls us as His people to be holy, to be pure, to live, set apart to God, consecrated

to God. Our lives, a holy offering before him. This is Romans

12. Let us present our bodies as a living sacrifice daily, holy, and acceptable to God.
