Now, maybe we've listened to the past two episodes that I've dropped, maybe you haven't, but just so you know, we are in week three of our called to be series where I'm resurfacing some older

audios of mine that all have to deal with our identity in Christ and who he has called us to be and created us to be in him.

Week one, we spoke on how Christ has called us to be loved because he is loving. He is loving. And last week, we explored what it means to be a part of his kingdom, family, and the role of a royal priest, right, a royal priesthood.

And in today's episode, we're going to be diving into holiness. Oh, I'm excited for this one. Y'all holiness sanctification, all the other fancy Christian words that basically mean to live a life of purity, blamelessness, and obedience to the Lord. So sit back, listen, and enjoy.

Hello, hello, hello, ladies and gents. It's your girl, Kirby Kelly, and welcome to another episode of the bot and beloved podcast. I just want to apologize real quick. My voice is very raspy. You're probably wondering, Kirby, why is your voice the recipe? Are you okay? Are you sick? No, I'm completely fine.

I went to a concert the day before recording a podcast was at the wisest decision. No, but you know what? There is grace for that in the name of Jesus, which was actually so much fun to go to a concert. It's been my first one ever since COVID happened. Don't worry. There were regulations for the place that we went to. My husband and I, we abided by them all.

And I just want to shout out this one guy named Jesse that my husband and I met while we were actually at the concert. He lives in Austin, he drove all the way up to go see the concert.

And he stopped me in the crowd. And he was like, oh, my gosh, I listened to your podcast. It has just meant the world to me. Thank you for doing what you're doing. And it was just the sweetest affirmation that I was not expecting.

I feel like I meet a lot of you guys in public whenever it comes to I watch your YouTube channels. I follow your Instagram account, but it's so special when someone recognizes me for my podcast and to just encourage me for the work that God has done in their life.

You know, I'm just the vessel, but to be able to use my gifts, my talents, put my passion into action and really spread the word on a platform like this.

It is just so special to be able to put a name, a number, a download, the analytics to actual face and to commune with y'all and rejoice with y'all and hear about who you are and what you love to do what God's doing in your life.

So Jesse, I want to give you a shout out. I really hope that you listen to this episode when it goes out.

But for this week's episode, I am so excited to talk about the topic of holiness. As you can tell by the episode title, you know, that we're going to talk about that.

And it's I'm really pumped. So a few weeks back, if you follow me on Instagram at Kirby is a boss. That's all my social media. Then you know that I went to a church in Texas, Yeehaw.

And they had me come preach to their congregation and it was amazing. God's been teaching me so much on the topic of holiness.

And I preach this message. I'm going to talk a lot about what I wrote from for this message because at the time that I wrote it a few weeks back, I was studying a lot about the Old Testament.

A lot about Exodus, a lot about Leviticus, just really understanding the heart of holiness, what it meant for Israel to be holy.

I don't know if you know this, but there's this scripture in Leviticus and it talks about Leviticus chapter 20 verse 29.

You must be holy because I the Lord and I'm holy. I've set you apart from all other people to be my very own.

It's really interesting because we even see again in first Peter chapter 1, I believe, verses 14 through 16. It says as obedient children do not conform to the evil desires you have had when you lived in ignorance.
