It is Saturday, almost the first of May, which is, or Jesus, first of April, which in my mind is about the time that spring actually gets started up here in North Dakota. We got a few more days left in March. We wanted to get one more podcast out. There's a couple things that are kind of important that we wanted to touch on. I've been getting a lot of messages and emails and all

kinds of stuff from people that have noticed that there is a bill that got, it's an amendment that

got introduced to the farm bill. It's H.R. 5017, known as the Greyhound Protection Act, that has gotten a lot of people

riled up, including Wes and myself. I've been doing a little bit of reading into this the last

couple of days, and I wanted to touch on it. Joe York actually sent me a text on this the other

day as well.

I wondered if it had passed our attention.

No.

I heard about it on like the 8th of March and started looking into it.

And then did not think it would come out of committee, but sure as hell it did on like the 18th of March.

So we're going to try to give a little bit of context as to what this thing actually is

and what you all can do to try to get this stripped off the farm bill, which, in all

honesty, I can't, well, I'm going to give you guys a little background on the farm bill.

The farm bill is enormous.

It's what legislators...

Second to the defense budget.

Yeah.

It's what people in government would refer to as a Christmas tree bill.

It's something that all these different special interest groups and everything else love to hang
