It's been almost a year since a California mother of four,

Nikki Chang-Sailie McCain vanished,

and now her disappearance is being investigated as a homicide. The 39-year-old's family reported

her missing May 22, 2024, after not hearing from her for four days. She had told her sister

she was headed to her mother-in-law's property on a Native American reservation in Shasta County

and was due to appear in court

for a settlement conference on June 3rd. Her husband, Tyler McCain, was facing four felony

domestic violence charges. On July 5th, the charges against Tyler were dismissed because of

Nikki's disappearance and the fact that she couldn't testify against her husband. Tyler spoke to

the media for the first time last week, saying,

we miss you to his wife. Four days later, after searching the family home, the Shasta County Sheriff's

office said Nikki is a homicide victim. Police also say they have a person of interest, but are
