Growing up in Philadelphia, there was one rivalry in baseball we knew about even though

listen to the Phillies Phillies and that was

the Dodgers versus the Giants. This is a time in which there was transition from

East Coast from the New York Giants and the Brooklyn Dodgers to the West Coast, the LA Dodgers and the

San Francisco Giants. But the rivalry remained in place and one summer, 1965, it became dangerous because there was also trouble in the streets of California.

Bill Whelan is here to tell us this story and how all these decades later the rivalry continues.

Shohio Tani signed a $700 million contract with the Dodgers, John, a very curious contract in that he has paid $2 million a year for the first decade of his services, and then the remaining $680 million is spread out over the next 10 years. Now, what's wrong with that? Nothing federal law prohibits

that allows us and the Dodgers do this is why they set up this contract
