Today marks the 10th anniversary of a little horror film called the cabin in the woods

We podcasted about this approximately seven years ago. I really early bald move work

I think at this point. I wasn't a really big fan of horror films

But this is a good one and I honestly I felt like this movie would be 15 years old at least it feels like it's been a lot longer than 10 years

Yeah, I remember I had seen it at the time and I was really excited about the commission because

I like this movie. I think it's a great

Turning of the tropes of a slash movie on their head and and really delivering a lot. It sits partially created by Joss Wheaton

So yeah, he wrote it and the who's his buddy drew gotter, I think he's the he directed it. Yeah, I think this might have been his first direct moral thing good

Men, I don't know, but either way. Yeah, I was excited because you know how I like Joss Wheaton time

I I don't know and then he did a venture stuff and yeah, yeah, it's fine

It's got Chris hymns worth in it right as he was becoming a household name or right before he was gonna explode as Thor

Yeah, it's it's it's really inventive subversive fun. It's a lot and and yeah, it's it's 10 years old already

It looks like we talk about the

SCP wiki project. Okay. Yeah, I felt like there's a lot of that DNA

I don't know if SCP was the thing or if like I wonder it's a chicken in the egg or egg before to chicken kind of process

But yeah, it's it's a seven year old podcast a 10 year old movie kind of hard to get to an archives

We're want to celebrate it. It's 10
