September 9th, 2023, 34 days before.

The Saturday of Cassie's dinner party, it's 80 degrees degrees outside even though it's early September. I like this weather, Alex says as we stroll up Irving placed toward Cassie in Grant's

apartment. I'm not ready for summer to end. His knuckles brush my fingers and for a moment I think he might try to hold my hand. There's a prickle at the base of my spine.
