Our grandson is still a bit too young to speak, but what he lacks in words, he makes up for by

pointing and squealing. It's so refreshing seeing the world through his new eyes. Everything he sees

becomes an adventure to explore. Everything is new, fresh and exciting. But what if we explored

each of our days with that same sense of awe and wonder? This meditation from Colossians

chapter 1 is a reflection on seeing Christ in all of creation, seeing the handprints of Christ on

all that we see and even what we don't see. I hope you can take the next 15 minutes as a retreat

to see the world with fresh, bright eyes. In fact, instead of softening your gaze or closing your

eyes, want you to keep them open. Stay alert to all that you see, hear, touch and even smell around you.

Take this next moment to consent to surrender this time and place to the assurance of God's presence

all around you, proximity of the Holy Spirit and the existence of Christ.

Continue by responding to this passage from John chapter 6, and as I lead us, respond simply,

created by Jesus, for Jesus. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the

victory and the majesty created by Jesus, for Jesus.

Indeed, everything that is in the heavens and on the earth is created by Jesus,

for Jesus.

And yours is the dominion in Kingdom, O Lord, and you exalt yourself as head over all.

All of it created by Jesus and for Jesus.

Continue to rest here in secret prayer before your Heavenly Father.
