As the House Judiciary Committee kicks off a series of hearings on the findings laid out in Robert Mueller's Russia report, former Trump aide Roger Stone joins "The Investigation," telling co-hosts Kyra Phillips and Chris Vlasto: "I don't see there being any fervor in the country for impeachment." Stone, who faces a seven count indictment from the Mueller probe and previously testified in front of the Watergate Committee, shares his opinion of former Nixon White House counsel John Dean's testimony on Capitol Hill: "I kind of think he's click-bait." 0:00.0	Welcome to the investigation. I'm Kira Phillips, along with my co-host, Chris Flasto, senior executive producer of our investigative unit and also Ali Dukakis, an investigative reporter with us.

0:22.0	and of course, we must add, he is under a seven-count indictment in Robert Mueller's
0:27.0	Russia probe. He's also under a pretty strict gag order, so he won't be going into details
0:32.3	about the Mueller investigation. But this isn't the first presidential investigation that
0:36.8	Roger Stone has been a part of. Let us not forget. He is a big Richard Nixon fan, where at the age of 19, he was interviewed before the Watergate Committee. And as we watch John Dean testify on the Hill today, we can't help but ask Roger. What do you make of this? Roger?
0:53.4	I think it calls for a reexamination of John Dean and his role in Watergate.
0:59.6	I'm not certain why he was asked to testify today, as I don't know what his expertise is in the question of him.
1:06.5	Well, I think the expertise is that they believe that he was party to obstruction of justice, obviously, 40 years ago, and can shed light on whether or not the president now Donald Trump obstructed.
1:19.7	What do you think of that?
1:20.6	Is that cable TV stunt or what do you think?
1:24.2	I kind of think he's club.
1:25.6	In other words, I don't think he has any firsthand knowledge.
1:28.7	He is, he was an attorney.
1:30.7	I believe he was disbarred.
1:32.1	He's certainly entitled to give his legal opinion of volume two.
1:36.6	But I don't think he has any firsthand knowledge.
1:40.5	Roger, if asked, would you testify before this committee?
2:03.9	I can't see a circumstance under which my lawyers would allow that. As you know, I am under a seven-count indictment for lying to Congress and related charges. I'm very limited in what I can say, even in this podcast. So I think it is unlikely that my attorneys would allow me to do so. But do you think Congress, what game do you think they're playing
2:08.9	here or Chairman Nadler's playing? I mean, why call John Dean? He's not even a real witness.
2:14.6	They should be calling you or they should be calling, you know, many other
2:18.6	witness, Hope Hicks, etc. What do you think? It's like a halfway impeachment, no?
