Good afternoon, my friends.

Welcome to this week's edition of Breakfast with the Beats.

I think tonight we're going to call it dinner with the Beats or maybe snack time with the beats

because we are actually recording on Friday night due to my crazy high school baseball schedule

in which I have to be at the field by eight

o'clock tomorrow morning dave how's your coffee tonight are you having coffee right now uh i am not

having if i had coffee now i'd be awake until you leave for your game tomorrow so it's it's just water for me right now. Me too. I

switched to water because I had a third cup of coffee this afternoon and I'm wired. I'm wired

because we're talking about fantasy baseball. I'm wired because I get to talk to you and that is

such a treat for me on a weekly basis. I'm also wired because my freshman boys continue to play really good baseball overall here in Batavia.

You know, I like to shout out my guys every time we do our show.

Tonight I'm going to shout out two of our other guys here.

Two and one this week, we had a really good series win against our rivals Lake Park this

week. Kudos first goes out to my guy Ray Barnes. Barnes, he's hitting over 500, Dave, 550 this

year with 10 RBIs, and he's played five different positions. He's played all three outfield

positions, third base, and first base. So he has been our Swiss Army knife in Batavia this year. He's just a wonderful guy. And he's an even better person than he is a baseball player. So shout out to Barnsey. And then second, our Carter Peterson. Now, that is not a misprint. Carter is his first name. He's not named after me, even though that would be

great, because obviously his parents didn't know me when he was born. But Carter, Carter started

out six guys this week and got the win on Monday to lead off the series against Lake Park.

And has continued to pitch really well, also plays first base for us when he's not

pitching sometimes. So, but all the guys there know, I love them.

They're great.
